Lighthouse at Sunset

Masculine was the theme of the day being it's Father's Day. As I sat at my table this morning (I'm up waaaay earlier than Harry, so I can enjoy my coffee and play before he gets up) trying to decide what to start on, I spied this little watercolor tray I bought after last summer's CHA. I had stood in front of Tim Holtz watching him show how to watercolor using Distress reinkers and I was hooked. Then I got home, put things away and, know.

And so it began this morning... water, brushes, reinkers, watercolor paper, and not to much of a mess. lol

I used a wide brush to create sand, water and a sunset. The image is from an old SU! set (Coast to Coast) that I colored with Copic markers. The anchor (tied to red & white twine) was actually on a button, but the button was baby blue and didn't match, so I pulled out my trusty wire cutter and removed it. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink.

It was fun finding the inner *artist* in me today! LOL

Hi, HB! Oh, my word, you are an artiste! Of course, I knew that. Seriously, this is stunning and could be great for a guy card, but I love it, too, and know lots of women who would LOVE to receive it. Just beautiful and so well done!
