A woman I've known and worked with for years moved into an office on our floor last week. I wanted to brighten her office and welcome her to the "neighborhood" so I picked up a bright pink gerbera daisy plant. I was getting ready to leave for work that morning and I realized I couldn't just give her the plant without a card! (sheesh... what was I thinking?)
Now, I am NOT a quick stamper. Really... it takes me forever to put things together, determine the layout, measure (and measure again) and cut. But I literally had 15 minutes before I needed to walk out the door.
I stamped one of the trees from Trendy Trees (SU!) in Spring Moss (PTI) and Burnt Umber (Palette) (bless who ever invented the stamp-a-ma-jig!) on white cardstock. I then cut the rectangle using a Nestability, running it through the machine a second time with the tan mat to get the embossed edge.
I wanted to *ground* the trees, but I loved the clean look of the white cardstock and didn't want to add a colored ground, so using my tracing wheel, I ran a faux stitched line at the base of the trees (you can click on the image to get a closing look).
Welcome (PTI) is stamped in Berry Sorbet (PTI) on white cardstock and then cut into a banner shape. I curled it over a fat marker to get the curved shape (ala the lovely Ms. Anna Wight).
A strip of Spring Moss bitty dot basics paper and a Berry Sorbet satin ribbon on Spring Moss cardstock (all PTI) and I was DONE! In under 15 minutes!
I love quick and easy... and she loved the plant and the card! :o)
